RAC Arena is seeking to employ experienced Riggers to join our Technical Services department on a CASUAL basis. Reporting to the Technical Supervisor – Rigging, you will be responsible for providing rigging support to the Technical Services team. Riggers will be performing specific rigging activities in accordance with RAC Arena’s rigging standards and will have a shared responsibility in upholding safety and quality standards. Working in a world-class venue, your job will be to assist in the rigging operations of the Arena, so we can continue to successfully host Perth’s most exciting events.
About the role
- Assist with the planning and carrying out rigging attachments for RAC Arenas events and flown equipment.
- Assist touring promotional companies and internal departments rigging operations required during the event set up and pack down.
- Assist with maintenance of the venue’s rigging areas and equipment as required
- Ensure all safety procedures are carried out in the building as per the current Work Health and Safety Act 2020.
- Current WorkSafe HRWL RB/RI/RA Essential.
- Construction White Card Essential
- Forklift, EWP and working at heights qualifications desirable but not essential
About You
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar multi-facet environment (Arena, Stadium, Convention Centre, Theatre, Hotel etc.) is advantageous
- Relevant trade qualifications and licenses
- Knowledge of Event rigging practices advantageous
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- The ability to work in a team and autonomously
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays when required around our event schedule
- Applicants must be able to provide a police clearance
