About the Studio
Perth Film Studios is a brand-new, purpose-built production facility in Western Australia, designed to meet the highest international standards. With cutting-edge infrastructure and a strong commitment to supporting both local and international productions, the studio is set to play a pivotal role in the Australian screen industry.
The Role:
As Head of Operations, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the studio, ensuring that all facilities are production-ready, compliant, and running efficiently. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will lead a team responsible for studio operations, security, maintenance, and logistics—providing seamless support to high-end film and television productions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Studio Operations: Oversee all aspects of studio functionality, ensuring productions have everything they need to operate efficiently.
- Production Support: Act as the key liaison for productions, ensuring their logistical and technical requirements are met.
- Facility & Safety Management: Ensure the site is well-maintained, secure, and compliant with WHS and environmental regulations.
- Leadership & Team Management: Lead and develop a high-performing team across operations, security, and maintenance.
Budget Oversight: Work closely with the CEO to manage operational budgets effectively.
Who We’re Looking For:
This role requires a highly experienced operations professional who understands the unique demands of film and television production.
Essential Experience & Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in studio or production operations
- A strong understanding of production workflows and the ability to anticipate production needs
- Experience working with US inward investment features or High-End TV (HETV) productions
- WHS qualification and expertise in compliance and safety management
- Proven leadership experience, with the ability to manage teams and multiple stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
